might be worth taking the cylinder down to Steve at Piston Broke, Felix Road, Easton.
When he's finished taking the p155 out of scooters (He's a 1960's "Rocker") he may be able to help or point you in the right direction.
Always used him for rebores etc and he is very knowledgable and reasonable- nice helpful bloke

sometimes the gudgeon pin gets knocked out with the barrell in situ just lifted enough and holding the piston in place ok 1 way/other way and this happensAdam_Winstone wrote:If the broken spigot was not being mashed around the crankcase mouth then this has been stripped at some time, and there is no way of saying for sure what the cause of the damage was... it may simply have been dropped in the workshop/garage!

do put a chamfer on the broken edge particularly on the bore side ,and again as a stress relief where it meets the base gasket face where its broke off

It will run I've did this before it ran fine I just dressed the rough edge of plating with a stone ...it was prob done by pin from piston being pushed out while piston was bottom in barrel or at least that's how mine was done ..

it does look like it maybe down to fat studs had a good look last night, existing studs 7.95mm thick took them out and then could see a good scuff mark on the same area as where the spigot would of been!!
offered up cylinder without studs no resistance whatsoever put suds in one at a time hand tight with barrel in situ fourth stud was a bitch so I'm going to try to get some original size studs and try that,
next question who does them it seems everyone sells m8's only.

or just relieve the cylinder stud ,mount it in a drill ,lock the speed trigger off file/grind/sand away enough its only the bottom 1" or so thats normally the issue or could do the opposite and open the hole out in the cylinder to 1/2mm bigger again just the first inch be enough

I normally fit original P2 studs, which from some sources come as correct rolled studs.... but from others as lengths of round-bar with a thread cut onto the end (these will not help you!).
The reason for fitting P2 ones is that they are slightly longer than original Lambretta ones, which allows you to fit various long stroke options better with packing plates.
Adam
PS - I know that Ron Moss sells them as he supplies them as standard with the Avanti TT3 kit (longer than the standard cylinder length). Other brands are available too.
