Hi all,
I need to get a new tyre for the rear of my GP200 and I’d like to give the engine a bit less work/revs at 55-60mph so I was thinking of fitting a tyre with a larger circumference (but don’t want to file off all the bump stop).
The 350x10 Continental’s I have on measure 1367mm when new (give or take a mm).
Anyone know of anything bigger at a decent price I could fit without taking all the bump stop off?
Thanks and regards,
Eric.
Any good tyres with large circumference for better top speed

i guess it all depends on how much you think your gearing is out by ,it was a common practice in the 80s to fit the larger 400 x 10 tyres but they upped it by about 10% in every gear .

So whould that be the same as fitting a 19 tooth front sprocket (to a std GP200 with GP200 gearbox) or does the sprocket gear it up more?
