Tmx35 & TS1 mid range

Hi all
I currently run 20 pilot, 56 needle 2nd position from top, 310 main, standard slide 6, filter and franspeed super tourer pipe.

I need to make the mid range richer as when it comes onto the needle it's a tad on the lean side at just over 1/4 throttle at approx 63mph.

I've tried moving the clip down but this makes the ride awful.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's best to run these on a 57 needle which is weaker than a 56 but having the clip. Near the bottom rather than the top two settings

Would I be right in thinking a 55 needle would be better

Just wondered if anyone has a similar setup that may help with the mid range.

Hi m8,
i run a ts1 same settings but have the main jet at 320.i tried the 57 needle with the 320 on the 2nd notch down ran great through the rev range but on the edge of lean.

Hi mike I run the same set up had mine dynoed by diablo moto . I have got 25 idle, 56 needle 2nd from bottom , 310 main for hot weather and 320 main for cold weather, ramair filter . I have a 315 main in at moment . I do find the pipe very revy from 4500 - 6000 doubled hp in nearly 2000 revs on dyno . With an li150 gearbox 16/46 had to change clutch from a 4 plate to a 6 plate af road clutch couldnt stop it slipping . hope this helps col

I'm thinking maybe my pilot jet maybe on the small side. Will try a 22.5 and up the main jet slightly.

If I move the clip down on the bottom settings on the 56 needle it will be unrideable as I've already tried it on the middle setting.

hi do you run open bell mouth i do on mine plus i have the franspeed race and a 22.5 pilot.
