only about 10,000 others! the early digital ones f@@ked up at the drop of a hat, the analogue ones dint last that well either. apart from cleaning connections, it used to be a full speedo swap to cure it, unless its been worked round . not cheap to replace speedo either..... 30 years old next year some of them!

Can only echo what Goldeneye says. I've had around ten over the past three or four years and Ive not had a rev counter that works.
You'll be lucky to get a working rev counter and I've not heard of one being repaired. I know a few people who have had auto electricians try to fix them by messing around with the circuitry and changing diodes, but without success.
I reckon that if anyone is able to repair them, they would be onto a little goldmine.

On a very lucky day mine does work ... for some time.

I have a friend who claims his rev counter is working without problems at all ... his T 5 hasn't left the garage in the last 5 years or so ;) .

My old T5 used to have a working rev counter.
This one on my current scooter doesn't work.
I have a spare speedo unit that the rev counter does work on but that's being kept back in reserve.

I must be lucky then. Got an '87 mk1 and the digi tacho works a treat. I've had an analogue one start smoking whilst riding then pack up. Everyone took the p155 when i told them. Then about a year later someone else had the same problem.
