T5 172 Setting up HELP

wanged the 172 from Aspatria in Cumbria, over the A66 to Middlesbrough, then up the A19, set on 16degrees...it didn't blow up..... :lol:

golden eye were is 16d on the stator

16 is std marks on a t5
but turn your stator clockwise a mill or so and it will be nearer 14

so I was told anti clockwise so that was wrong then mate ive seen ur work mate and ur word is good enough for me

fitted it all yesterday been out for a bit of a ride and covered about 30-40 miles, plugs running a bit lean so im gunna put a 130 in and it should run spot on, before anyone says thats too big, my airfilter is pretty haggid and has the heart drilled out rather large aswell lol

Ran mine @ - 1.5mm btd on the Scooterotica scale - 15.5 BTDC degrees on the degree scale. Solid for full throttle 100 Miles an another. 172, PM head, reed Phbh set-up etc. Only retard from the the 16 mark on a T5 if your head is unaltered per Std Malossi kit! (or u r pinking) IMHO

I've got 3 Malossi 172 and run em all at standard setting 16 degrees.
Covered thousands of miles over the years.
Never missed a beat.

the head was done by chislespped I got it off ducksta on here I think so I no nothing wrong with that
