Best to cut cross grooves in them and paint them Matt Black.

I had mine powdercoated, very happy with the result.
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming: "WOW, WHAT A RIDE"

I'd prefer if you could keep to the subject.

Corrado, do they feck up the paint work more than the Vespa Ulma lists fitted originally to the GS/SS range...?

I have a Viet scooter in pieces in my garage, it had the S/S floor and the legshield side trim. I took them off. The floor trim COULD [but won't be] put back on as the damage to the paint is already done, though knowing me I'd spend an age with a dremmel and files taking all the sharp edges off, the legshield trim would be near impossible to put back on without any further damage plus they're held on by grub screws which by their very nature must cut into the paintwork. Vespas?? What are they?? I don't go there.
