fuel consumption malossi 220
Might be worth considering a Dyno session. With what your spending in fuel it may be cost effective.

Oops sorry! I was thinking SI carb.Jack221 wrote:So, what jets/atomiser you got fitted right now?
The atomiser number is the size. As small as possible (often rnds up as 264 on a Malossi). You feel the atomiser size when the throttle is open an 1/8th

Thanks for the comments and to answer some of what's been said ! No I don't Cain it everywhere,it's got a final drive ratio of 4.77-1,I wanted to try and make it as torquey as poss lower down to pull longer gearing, the jetting has been played with over the last couple of months but I have run it with an av 264 atomiser and an x2 needle but just trying it with a av 266 with an x7 and it seems a bit clearer, the slow running jet is a 58 but I may go for a 55,the main jet is 145 and it still feels like it's not rich, fuel consumption seems near enough the same regardless of the different jetting, revs out over 8 k in 2nd no probs so jetting can't be that far out can it?

I get about 55 miles per tank similar set up which has been dialed in on dyno.

your gearing sounds to tall TBH so maybe your spending most of your time riding in 3rd gear ?

Your pilot jet is way too big! 52 should be enough. The X7 is a fat ended needle and on a powerful motor that revs high it wont open enough at full throttle to flow the main jet. Something like an AS264 and an X3 needle will suit it better
