Taffy copy pipe
I don't know..I know some muggys do and I've machined mine back.it looks as if the stub and header pipe are not fully home as to not allow the expansion to sit in the correct place for the bracket

I had exactly this problem trying to fit a JL3 to a V4 mugello.
Nothing lined up because the exhaust gasket face is around 10mm further away from the piston skirt on the mugello than standard
Great design feature

Slow is the new fast!
So does having Muggelo kits make it also a issue ?camel wrote:Is it about 10mm out?is it a mugello top end?

the pipe is very low at the front, when riding two up it will ground very easy!
i know this is a new pipe but you will have to alter it .
i think the short boards are not right on this scooter!

Some mugello kits have a thicker exhaust gasket face making some pipes hard to fit,I know initially the ads range of pipes offered a specific mugello stub,I think the mb clubman has a specific stub too.I measured the difference on my 225 mugello and it was 7mm thicker,I machined my gasket face to make all pipes fit.simonwwfc wrote:So does having Muggelo kits make it also a issue ?camel wrote:Is it about 10mm out?is it a mugello top end?
Your probably right I'll check in the morning.shocky wrote:Does the gasket face of the exhaust project further out the barrel on these kits ?Chris-47 wrote:No it's the bgm 195 kit
I hate my RT kit wish I had never read the wright up on it.

This certainly doesn't look correct,I'd disconnect the tailcan bracket, slacken all your mounting bolts off, allow the pipe to find its natural position and tighten up,totally leaving the can bracket for now as it looks set far too high, then adjust the can bracket to suit its natural position.I actually made my own bracket coming from the shock mount as it looks so naf

I had to use a different sharksfin bracket that was slotted downwards so the whole pipe sat slightly lower at the front, but it still came higher at the back so I had to extend the bracket at the back upwards.joespeed wrote:so how did you cure the problem?
I was generally very disappointed with the Mugello kit, the ports were all over the place and the exhaust port design just made the whole thing a ballache
