The junction box on my Italian imported 1964 LIS150 was missing and the 4x magneto wires were joined to the loom with an electrical junction strip.

There is the remains of rectangular black junction box cap pushed up the loom which would suggest that is was a series 2 junction box fitted originally rather than the series 3 type but there are also bits of Vespa scoots on the bike so who knows ?

Has anyone got a early pre 65 Italian import Li150 special could look at theirs please and tell me what type it is ;)

Mine's the same year/model as yours and the junction box on the left hand was a round one if that helps.

Italian market (i.e. non battery models) were equiped witth a small rectangular junction box as standard.

Battery models had the larger Rectifier/ Junction box.

Not sure to what the round junction boxes were fitted but they seem to be the only ones available now

Thank you Wayne and Chris.

Wayne perhaps yours is a UK model ?

Chris I'd forgotten that yours is the same as mine ...

So the rectangular cover is probably the original I guess. I'll scout around for an original junction box but in the meantime I guess the electrical connectors will suffice.

Chris could I be a right pita and ask if you could post an image of your ignition key for me please ? Mine came with no keys whatsoever so I'll need to find the key pattern to start with and probably file my own keys or alternatively I guess I could buy 3x new locks and swop the barrels but that would be kinda expensive .

there should be a number on all of the locks/ ignition switches.

There is a guy called Jem Booth on here who will supply keys ready cut.

Very good bloke and quite reasonable.

BTW what are the first 5 digits of your frame ane engine numbers? May be very close to mine

thats the "junction/ rectifier" box which was fitted to machines with a battery.

He's looking for the small rectangular junction box for non battery models.
