Puncture on rear about 60 mph
Gave enough time to slow down with no drama. After stripping the offending wheel the slime had blocked a hole around 2mm. as a test I inflated it and left it. It stayed inflated for weeks before I slashed it and binned it.
Wouldn't run tubes without it now

I had one on the rear on last years c2c and never knew about it. Just noticed a greasy patch on the tyre when home. Puncturesafe had done its job on the tube and only lost a couple of pounds. Had a front one previously on the front, a quarter inch split around the valve, and it went down slowly enough to come to a controlled stop. It even sealed and left quite a lot of air in the tube so much that I had to let some more air out to remove it. Wouldn't be without it either on tubed or tubeless.

Both mine with tubed...once solo and once 2 up. Haven't had one with the tubeless .....yetsoulsurfer wrote:I had one last year with tubes & sealant, fairly low speed but still an arse clencher.
Are the above experiences with tubed or tubeless tyres?
Knew I posted about this before. Gone tubeless now and just got a 2 for 1 deal on slime at Halfords. Before I put in in, do the tyre fitters get arsey when replacing tyres with this stuff in?
Cheers.

It would be wise to tell them it's in there but it's water soluble and easy enough to deal with. I put some in all 4 wheels of my Marcos last year but it affected the balance so much I had to get a tyre fitter to take the tyres off and clean it out. They didn't have a hose so used LOTS od blue paper towela.j wrote:Knew I posted about this before. Gone tubeless now and just got a 2 for 1 deal on slime at Halfords. Cheers. In it goes then!
Well that went well. The b@5t@rd core won't come out! Came so far then kept clicking without going any further. Tried thin nose pliers, nothing. SIP tubeless if yer wondering. I'm going a bed!
