Hi Adam, at what RPM did the Supertourer start improving over the JL3 (before fitting the Augusto)?
I've got a JL3 on my Rapido 225 and it seems to run out of steam about 7500rpm. I've just fitted a Kytronic SB and was thinking about an exhaust change to either something like the MBGM Clubman for a more standard look or another expansion for a bit more top end (without getting to "racy").

No. You use the Dyno to identify any problems and confirm if things are aet up correctly (to lean, too rich, timing, etc) then you rectify any problems and re-Dyno. As i knew i was altering the spec' it seemed pointless altering anything (the race exhaust will probably need up-jetting), i just used the Dyno' as a reference point for any changes i make (new exhaust, etc). When i re-Dyno' it will all be then set up correctly.

bit of a waste of a dyno then, as i thought you took it to dyno with the components your going to use then have it adjusted to suit.

Not really, seeing as I didn't charge him for the run.....just did it as a favour as Mick is sound as a pound.

Without the Dyno how would i know what difference there was between the 2 exhausts ? When your paying "good money" it's nice to see what you're getting.

As Dan had said for the cost he charged i really didn't think i'ld wasted anything ( :D ), plus he identified the sticking choke (bonus !!)

The main reason was to generate a reference point which is what we did.
