Need some advice on which carb to go with my RB20, have just had 30m delly deliverd from taffspeed. Thing was i orderd the 34 so am about to return it for the 34 (as specced by AF on there site) then remebered that some people had been going with a 30... :o .
So im now thinking do i stay with what i have got or get the 34.

Also to make it more confusing, i dont think the carb that Taffspeed sent me has been jetted by AF as i had asked, qnif i do go for the 34 i will order it from AF direct this time and ask them to jet it for st up i have.

Doesnt seem to be a carb set up for the RB on the AF site either, which is strange considering they make it?

I should also add that MPG doesnt bother me so wont be worried about it drinking a bit.

Need to make a desicion by tomorrow morning as if im backing the 30 i need to make the post. Days are running out and im going backwards or so it seems :(

So dont be shy, opinions please

should also add im not intrested in having to change loads on the 30 as its already set me back £180. I may as well buy a second hand one for £40 and then buy correct slide, jets etc

Now im bloody confused.

Sef, have you considerd the TMX35, i believe there slimer than the dellorto 34mm, breath better if no hole in panal, though not as good for fine tuning, i,ve got 1 on my RB22 and like it enough to fit one on the Mrs,s when ive got all the bits together for the build, you can buy them direct from the states cheaper than you can get them here, try jet200.com, regards.

Hi sef there should have been a spec list with your RB kit, (which i didn't get either) but Andy Francis showed me it, they give a jetting spec (amongst other things) for the 34mm and the 30mm dellorto carbs. I'm running a 30mm on mine and seems fine. Also when scootering did the small block shoot out the rb used was on a 30 mm because it was deemed the better of the two carbs by the builder. Hope this helps you decide ;)
