Hi has anyone got a simple wiring diagram for a Vespa cutdown/ chopper. My scoot is a Mk 1 P125x with no battery. I don't want indicators, i am using one of those off/on/dip/horn switches, simple on/off ignition switch and black caged headlights from Beedys . Oh n what is the yellow wiring on my scoot. Thanks

I'm sure Nik skeat did a basic loom diagram on SBW a while back Sye.

And I think the yellow wire is for your horn.

I have a similar setup on a chop I've done over the winter. The loom came from Beedspeed and is very simple. It arrived with a wiring diagram, which i'll try and take a picture of tomorrow and send it to you.

The problem i have is that i can't get the brake light to work when the lights are on. It simply turns the lights off when i press the brake. Turn the lights off and i have a brake light. Any ideas where i have gone wrong?

Sorry to hijack your thread mate.

P.S. As Joey says........Yellow and blue are for the horn.

Most basic loom you can get mate is a lambretta 12v electronic loom.
I have fitted a few of them and they are easy and simple.
It will give you 3 wires to the headset and from there you can spru to switch and drop to horn.

It really is 'simples' 8-)

Scootopia do one, but so will all other dealers as well for about £15.

Shaun.
