has anyone ever tried just putting an LED bulb in the unit?
or is the best solution just to get something like the BGM board and be done with it
I like the idea of the BGM unit as its thin and should give even light, is it very bright?

I have scootrs rear led panel, easy to wire, have to fettle GP housing to mount board, but good clear and bright light, and hardly any flicker on idle with a.c.system. highly recommend to get one.

I just bought a cheap light unit from ebay and took the guts out. Fitted inside the housing a treat.

BGM board is very good, my rear light was dull to the point of dangerous, put the board in and it works very well and bright, feel safe from behind, now if only I could do something to get my headlight brighter than a firefly.
