smoke problem

went to my petrol station filled up and went 2 mile up the road stopped at the lights and the engine was racing a bit and smoking a lot .carried on down the road and after a couple of miles it went normal tick over and hardly any smoke anyone had similar problems i put in 4% of oil thanks

Yup! had exactly that once. I figured i dropped the oil into the tank and it settled around the fuel tap. Hence when i rode off, it smoked like a good 'un. Half a mile later, running as normal.
The motto is; when you put the oil in, give the bike a shake or even stir the tank with a screwdriver,

Put the oil first and let the fuel mix it when it goes in. Simples

It's not that 'simples' is it ? How can you accurately judge the amount of oil before you know how much petrol has gone in?

I made a measuring stick to get close and marked if off at 1/4 gallon increments. Then I use a ratio rite mixing cup

Or fill up to a nice round number and leave room for oil. Mix some gas with your oil in the mix cup to thin it out and then add it at the end.

So say you have room for 1.5 gal of gas, put 1.4 in the tank and the other .1 in your measuring cup with your oil. Shake and pour in to tank
