There is that too, though I've not heard of sand cast ones breaking, but the pressure cast leaves a much better finished product. I read somewhere [probably on a forum, so it must be true] that the original Innocenti / Campagnolo inboard discs were sand cast.

Hi I have just been reading this post. I am considering buying a disc conversion.
Did the beedspeed set up work. Are you happy with it. Is it worth buying.
I have been on the lcgb site reading and from what I can see the disc system was designed for a bigger wheel, producing too much power meaning two fingered braking or wheel lock.

You soon get used to the fierce braking and apply pressure as necessary but grab a handful and you'll most likely lock up the front.

There's thousands of them in use now, I'm sure that there's the odd few who didn't like the action and returned to the vastly inferior standard set up but I'm betting that 95% plus wouldn't go back to std brakes.

From personal experience I would recommend the antidive option, makes a world of difference to the feel of the brakes.

I'd agree with that too as without anti dive you end up setting the front too stiff to counteract the dive then the front ends up a bit skittish, much more feel imo with anti dive.
