I hope you need the info to make your own iron Polossi!
Worb5 open out the Malossi piston windows to look more like a patio door! Its just too big, unnecessary and looks too flimsy. I split the required amount between the barrel window, down to leave about 5 mm and kept the 2 piston windows but extended them up approx 5mm each. All the other Malossi piston mods were done similar to usual. Its been running about 18 months now and no cracks at all.....yet :?

Ill have to disagree with you there Jack.....
Ive run fully modified malossi pistons for years....Im currently running a worb5 Malossi top end that ive fettled a touch more and my engine's kicking out just over 26hp......its actually a 225 with a one off reed and pipe blah blah but goes really well and never had an issue with the windows failing !!
The palossi is a great mod, I know Al Dialo runs one (iron barrel) and his is a ripper, very reliable and has clocked up some serious miles on it I knopw he fettles the exhaust a touch ......

Iv'e not put this one on a dyno yet but to haul my 17 stone over 80mph on the GPS it must be at least 30bhp! I'll get it done when it warms up; anyone know of a good dyno south of London?

Wow that must be an absolute animal id like to see your dyno graph
With the gearing in my Malossi and the 26brake its reving out and clocking a good 85mph
What gearing and pipe are you using??

Yes, I am really chuffed with it so far :) For yours I can only assume you mean 85mph on the Vespa speedo!
Before I got a SIP speedo and even before the final port job, flat out my original Vespa speedo would indicate past the Piaggio logo at the bottom of the dial. Yet indicating 50mph, it was spot on to GPS, exactly 50mph. At least the Vespa fuel gauges are accurate......not! :D

Gearing is standard P2 cogs with 22/65, exhaust is JL-RH and carb VHSH flat slide. Until last Summer I had the gearing standard but it wouldn't rev right out in top and like most guys, third was awesome but 4th was just too high. I think I'm at the point where I can't do anything more to it and keep it reliable, without water cooling.

No mate not by the speedo :o .....ive been clocked numerous times !!! 8-)
Mines upgeared and running watercooled head and few other tricks

I didn't think that was enough power. Are you are 8 stone and on a cut down with drop handlebars? :D
