I believe the cylinder did fall foul of the BSSO rules when first used in racing a couple of seasons ago (by Performance Tuning rider Phil Bevis) - because of not mounting on four full length studs - so the cylinder used was modified (by Charlie) to comply.nelson pk wrote:Dan
Talking about what could be done to it on the track.......would it be excluded or fall foul of BSSO rules due to the cylinder stud arrangement?
I remember someone commenting on it when the SM first came out.
Thought i'd ask you as i haven't personally had a go at racing so i'm not clued up on those sorts of rules.

Yep, as you guys know I ride a Super Monza on the road, but I will be returning to scooter racing (after a few years racing an R6) on the only Performance Tuning race Super Monza motor (as previously owned by Phil Bevis).soulsurfer wrote:I think Tom Russell with be racing one next year.
Obviously, it's a Group 6 motor, but I'll be using it in a standard chassis/set up, to start with, as Phil did.
Can't wait to see how it performs
