Straight liner Gearbox
I'm building a road going but straight liner sprinting RB250. I've considered a Cyclone 5 speed gearbox but still think a SIL 200 may serve my purpose just as well and a lot cheaper. Thoughts anyone?
Lamaddict,
Put your money into your engine, as in barrel - head - piston/tuning/ignition/ crank/clutch,....................... unless you've got plenty of it that is ................
Don't forget that plenty of quick runs have been done on 4 speed boxes.
And of course when/if you develop a motor with big hp, you'll be taking teeth off your gears anyway, so it might prove somewhat expensive if it was cyclone gears that were breaking.
Best of luck with it.
