My mate is wanting to upgrade his PX200 disc, at the minute it's all standard apart from a revolver copy expansion, jetted to suit. The exhaust has rattled the end can loose again for the second time and split the stainless causing a nip up.
He's looking to add a kit, new carb and exhaust, what are peoples recommendations, moneys not too much of an issue, but don't want to go mad! Cheers.

..seen a good few Pinasco kits going through Armandos just lately... and there's a new 62mm crank out soon making the 210 kit 230cc[ish]... and its all a complete set up designed and tested... think they won a 10 hour enduro race in France recently with their new 180 kit....

Just to put andy66 right, (am not being arse'y gadge)
me polini 220 would ''pull the s**t of a stick'' and econimical with it!
a malossi 220 ''goes like s**t of a stick'' but a tad thirsty!(quicker of the mark than my polini, dunno about top end though)
any big carb variants of these tunes would be like diahoria of a stick!!! :D
polini = torque'y tourer
malossi = revvy, race'r

pinasco 225, 60mm crank, worb 5 head makes a good tourer too. polini kit is great, can be bolted on re jetted and still make a worthy road bike

question is how do you want to ride and for how far. tuned bikes can be a chore if you are a euro tourer

For me the iron Polini 207 is by far the best all rounder but the Malossi 210 has a piston in a different league. Put the 2 together with a 60mm crank, 30mm flat slide and a fast road port job......mine keeps up with the traffic on the motorway and still pulls 4th uphill. I have long since forgotten about economy though :D

Mild tune on a standard barrel, decent piston, long stroke crank, SIP Road pipe and standard carb jetted to suit. Drives just like a standard P200 with similar fuel economy but will cruise all day at 60 and won't slow down on hills or in headwinds. Basically, how they should have come out of the factory in the first place.
