Apart from the electric start does the battery do any thing other than make the electric start work??
My battery after charge is fine but is not holding charge hence over night no E start
Have to revert to kick start then e start will work for rest of Journey .
So do I need the battery??
Thanks
phil

gadge you need battery for - for electric start - brighter head light - and horn thats all....as what a lot of the lads do is fling the battery plus electric start, have slightly dimmer head light change horn to an AC horn and take starter ring of flywheel....there not worth the hassle batteries n e/starts

Flung the starter, lightened the flywheel, kept the battery for the toys...

Have you checked the battery?
It doesn't last for ever, so might try to replace it?
Easier than rebuilding the electrics on the scoot...
