rigged up a test tank and tidied the bodged ignition loom.

shes alive!!!!!

well happy. Fired up quickly. Idles beautifully.

I'm the type of bloke that if I read a book I read for 15 hours, the whole book, therefore I don't read books...

So, any chance of taking a week or 2 off work and getting on with this I need more,...now!!

Thanks. Hearing that beautiful exhaust note has really spurred me on. This was part of the reason that I wanted to hear it.

also as i have never heard it run and its been sat for last couple of years i was eager to start it.

it will obviously need jetting correctly but i have been just sticking my finger in the carb mouth and lifting the slide lol.

exhaust sounds great. It revs like a motocross bike.

It sounds a bit odd in the video but the engine is really quiet.

think having the camera 2 foot from bike and it being in closed garage made it sound knocky

Very impressive.
I was only thinking the other day why don't more people use taper bearings when scratch building a scoot.
Can't wait for more posts.

isnt it about time someone designed some taper bearings and cups for lambrettas
