Im planning a rebore for my Jet 200 barrel to 70mm using Avanti piston, clean up and match. I just bought an Indian 200 cylinder head from SR. I will need to reprofile it to suit the dome of 70mm. I read somewhere that lowering the compression helps to suit unleaded petrol.

ive reprofiled a sil head for my muggello 225,it also has an avanti piston
you need to tel him as you have mentioned the profile needs to be the same as your piston crown.i carefully cut a template out of thin cardboard 70mm width and with the profile of your piston crown and machine to suite...the gasket face to the lowest point of the combustion chamber needs to be 0.860".ish
i tap the stud holes 10mm so it can be bolted to a jig which goes in the lathe chuck.
if its a one off it may be easier to buy one but if you have the gear and the time definatly have a go.

+1 on just buying one from AF, that's what I've used on my rapido / avanti piston

thanks to all. I have surfed the net and found some cylinder head jig drawings that will suit my project.

But unfortunately only one of the drawings is avaliable at the moment. Does someone got these CAD drawings? I will PM Rich and invite to join this thread.
