Right then best get a bigger jet. I've been advised to get a 115 to start with and after running in go down to a 110. Had no idea that could happen, thank God I ain't gone out on the road with it yet. Could have been a bit serious. Thanks. So would a 115 be suitable for say a SIP Road2 exhaust in future. Or would I be better of with a standard exhaust.

Got a 116jet and new B7HS plug. Lets see what this results in...

Have fitted a few of these kits to scoots with both standard and SIP 2 pipes. They`re great for what they are. Most have ended up at around 106-108 on the main jet on standard 20mm carbs but follow the sound advice on here and start big and work your way down.

Right then got the 116 in now with the standard exhaust and filter. Starts fine runs ok but is lacking any umph. Revs quite nicely, no hesitation on the throttle. So would modifying the airfilter help with its performance. All i'm after is more umph to get me up the hills. Still trying to decide on best exhaust, so any recommendations.

Drilled the filter out today and what a difference. Nice a responsive to the throttle and idles nicely. Climbs them hills in 3rd no problem even in 4th on the smaller ones which it never did before. Seem to want to go for it on the flat but holding back at mo as running it in. Spark is nice a chocolate brown so i must be doing something right. Think i'll run her in with the standard exhaust for now and then in the new year go for a Sito Plus or a Sip Road 2 exhaust as i want to keep the standard look. up gear it with a 22 clutch cog and use a SIP road pipe or sito plus. best budget kit for the PX you can get.

ive just modded a mates px 177 air box ,I got a scrap airbox lid ,removed filter,cut the flat off the lid and welded an inch to the sides ,welded the top on to increase its height by,1 1/4.
removed the filter and put some filter foam in the inline air intake .,it picks up a lot faster and crisper ,and theres less fuel staining on the lids underside ,above the carb ,

Couldn't wait so I've been out and got my self a nice Simonini Exhaust put her on and by george she's alive. Like riding a completely different scoot. Pulls up the hills a treat. And flies along the flats. Well pleased. Only problem no is my rear shock seems to have gone belly up. the top mounting is either lose or somethings bust off up the top. Any info on how to replace it.
