Wondering; I am trying to isolate why there might be some unwanted vibration in my Lambretta Jet200(motor mounts new, scooter assembled meticulously with all buffers in place, things tight to spec. swapped out seats to see if that would make a difference)
As a winter project I may update my flywheel and maybe even stator (better electronic ignition components etc.) and while I am at that I may remove the crankshaft , even though I replaced seals recently. Your opinions: should I have the original Spanish crank checked to see if it is indeed true or should I just bite the bullet and get a new crank (it's gonna have to be Li as I have all those electronic ignition components already to fit said taper)?...this is to rule out any unwanted vibration due to a possibly wonky crank
OR, Should I just accept the fact that Lambrettas are vibrational bum numbers! (this from someone who has a TV3 that is much smoother that the Jet200 I am talking about and has been a wussy and drove a modern automatic Vespa for the greater part of this last summer)

Is your TV a 175? The 175 has a longer conrod, 116mm, your 200 has a 107mm conrod. Supposedly the reason why the TV175s are the smoothest scoots to ride.
I'd get the current crank checked before shelling out for a new crank which may not be necessary.

What new engine mounts did you fit??
I had to replace the new Casa ones I had fitted to my engine, for some SIL ones, as the whole thing just vibrated too much, once I got up to a reasonable speed

My series 2 rat has a few vibration issues. It seems to vibrate in a way that effects my vision. No matter how hard i try things are blurred. I didnt notice until somone i know waved as i went past and i didnt even notice them. Switch off and everything comes into focus. Problem i have is everything and i mean everything rattles, i wouldnt even know where to start....
