Thanks for the replies :D
Ive given it a gentle wash today with an industrial hot pressure washer and ive got a better idea of what the plan is :D

Ducksta and cutdownspence ...choppers and cutdowns arent really my style :)

Hicksy it did mate picked it up yesterday :D i spent a grand total of 30 min in Dublin then back on the ferry

GP240 I think the stands the right one ? i 'stand' to be corrected tough :) Engine wise its either going to be my RB240 out of my other scoot ( with a bit more of a tweak) or a big block GT ? not sure yet ? :D .....Mat Black ? funny you should say that ;)

Rosscla. Well this was from a choice of three that all popped up around the same time :) and all were cheapish for a factory 200cc :D

Paul.. Its staying as it is but after a jet wash today, i think im going to repaint all the internals and possibly the frame. I Think it will be all satin black powder coated. All the panel work will stay the same, the front mudguard and horncast are broken but maybe repairable ? The wiring in the headset needs attention also  Ill let you know about the mudguard Paul thx, what colour is it ?

Red, but had been re painted badly in Spain. I reckon it probably needs a professional repair unless you're very handy with fibreglass repairs.

Mines not fibreglass, but black plastic :?
Im puzzled as to how the horncast and mudguard fix together ? it looks like they were glued at the factory ?
Ok Heres the beast :)
Image
As you can see on the next pic there are no holes or any fixings what so ever ?
Image
This is the two pieces placed together, and what looks like the original paint covering the joint. Image
the next one with the break between the two
Image
And lastly you can see where the silver paint on the mudguard hasnt gone behind where the hornast has/had been stuck on (by the grill)
Image
Does anyone know for definite that they were or were not, stuck together as per factory ? as i said earlier they are not fiberglass ,but a black plastic the same as the tool box.

I havent had much time lately  to work on it
The engine took three goes with a steam cleaner to get it clean.
Image
But after it was cracked open all looked good inside :D
Image
Apart from the split link in the chain, need new rings ( but still good 66mm bore) and the clutch sprocket is marked Innocenti ?
The flywheel had a strange dust cover and the circlip is grooved into the fins ? Its a Motoplat electronic ign.
Image

So the plan was a std engine, SX crank, motoplat ign. but with a 22/26mm carb and a box pipe . Then when the GT kit comes out, fit one of those. The main priority was to use the Motoplat ign and hope the crank would cope with the GT kit. I would normally just fit a GP crank as a matter of course.
All this is now up in the air, as ive just discover why the flywheel was rubbing on the stator :? theres a crack along the keyway :( so i cant use that

Then i had a thought  would a indian type flywheel work with the motoplat stator ? ? ? anyone know ?

Well ive had a busy few weeks at work, and not had much time to do anything on it
I rewarded my self a couple of day to work on it :) Got forks and headset stripped rebuilt and fitted, loom and cables fitted and a few more bits :)
Image

The battery is there just to get the electrics sorted, and ive sorted them and it all works, well nearly, the switch is not working great, but i think i can fix that :)
Image

The engines holding me up at the moment. The motoplat flywheel is fecked  but i still would like to use the original electrics, so im looking for a flywheel. If i cant find one ill have to use a new Indian type stator and flywheel, but if i do, i may as well change the grank to GP type.

Next job is to fit the rubber mats that ive cleaned up today.

Leave it as is,its too nice to coat in shiny paint, that bike came from holland to Ireland by the way , i missed out on buying it myself, i was the same i hated the look of these when they were new, but i quite like them these days , there something a bit different, best of luck with it, oh and i dont think an indian flywheel will work with a motoplat but im no expert, ive a standard sx crank in my rapido and 3k later all is well. :D but i probably just jinxed myself..

Gerryjunior Thats interesting info mate :) any idea when it came from holland ? any more info ? i just assumed it was an Irish scoot.
Its staying as i found it body wise, ive stripped it, treated all the rust, and its being reassembled now.
Thanks

Is it electronic though ? With the six triangle shaped windows ?

I rang the lad that brought this to Ireland, he told me he imported it from belgium about 6 years ago and used it as a daily , it was parked up for a while 2 years ago and he had to sell it about 8 months or so ago, i know because i collected it in my van, the lad he sold it to never drove it and you bought it from the third owner ..
