Hi,
Anyone fitted one of these kits and if so your views on them. Just got one delivered this morning and I must say im very impressed with the look of it. Any real problems encountered with the fitting etc. Gearing wise ive got an Italian LI 150 box with 16 x 47 sprockets and a Dev Tour Pipe. Will this still be ok for this cylinder kit or could I change to a 17 x 46. Cheers everyone.
Lambretta cylinder kit, Race-Tour RT195/200, MBgm
The brochure looks good, just like them ones in the travel agents. 20 odd BHP and 25 ft Ibs of torgue? Although I am squinting at the tiny Dyno graph, so I could be wrong.
Still, that's great touring spec. Has anyone dynoed one yet? I too am thinking of dipping my toe in the water, although I would slap a LTH reed valve on it though, me thinks
Please someone, spill the beans.................

I don't want to keep up with modern traffic. I want to hoon past it, preferably on one wheel!

From a small block kit? Someone has to take one of these along to the dyno day.wax wrote:The brochure looks good, just like them ones in the travel agents. 20 odd BHP and 25 ft Ibs of torgue? Although I am squinting at the tiny Dyno graph, so I could be wrong.
25ft/lb of torque? Sounds like someone needs to report to the nearest firestation to report their pantaloons ablaze.

I haven't heard owt yet,but the RT 225 that Andy Gillard fitted to his scoot with a cyclone 5 speed reads a tad disappointing I think.Firstly the mbgm clubman needed fettling in all mounting points to fit the scooter and engine, requiring the use of a dremmel to address the issue. The upper and lower fin on the exhaust port side also required the dremmel as the exhaust flange wouldn't fit in. Also although the 30mm phbh had been set slightly rich for running in,i felt the gps reading of 70.9 mph was a tad disappointing.I know it can be tuned much further to obtain higher speed, but still thought that speed seemed a little disappointing for the price.

I would imagine that this is the best kit available and will never be bettered and has been extensively tested and that no further discussion is necessary.

I had a Mugello 186 that was I was really pleased with until I broke a ring and scored the bore. Thought I'd try an R/T after reading evrything I could find on smallbore kits. Got it fitted with a 30 PHBH and an old NK and it is brilliant. It will sit at 75 GPS on the flat and pulls up hills brilliantly. Can't fault it so far and I've done about 750 miles.

Yes Gaz chuck it in the bin!rbgaz wrote:i be throwing me 230 rb kit away then
No longer the most powerful off the shelf kit, Rbs are unreliable, not fast, no low down power, cant take them on the motorway, no torque & always destroying parts, cant take em anywhere! imola or muguello small block is the way, 100 mph on a dyno, 80 mpg never break down,
Sit back and wait!
