Hi Liam,

The gearbox is largely irrelevant to BHP. With an Li125 gearbox (which is fine) a change to 18/47 gearing and 82 link chain is required. Please down load and read the manual from the web site regarding exhausts, fitting, jetting and trouble shooting etc.

If you want to run an expansion pipe (remember to lift the exhaust port 0.8mm or so) the best one I found so far was the Franspeed race. Just recently I've seen the Ancilotti clubman which also looked very good if you require stock looks. Certainly, the latest crop of clubman exhausts look a lot better than the old Indian 42mm clubmans, although more expensive (pays your money takes your choice, I'm afraid).

Remember that the way your inlet system, jetting and exhaust work will dramatically change the performance. Typical mistakes are running through narrow Li125 airboxes which forces the jetting to run rich. It might not sound much but 5 points on a main jet or a dickie choke makes a huge difference. If you PM me with your current set up I can help you though and give you some simple pointers.

Remade Li150 gearboxes are available. They're indian.. But popular opinion seems to be that indian stuff is acceptable these days. And that'll go a treat with your existing sprockets.

I don't know what a KBA exhaust is, so can't comment on that. Mine ran with a RC clubman and went very well indeed. Regularly saw 75mph.

Hi liam I run a gt kit on my sil 150 , when I first built it with head and base gaskits the squish was about 2.3mil , I took the barrel over to dan at scooterotica and after giving him the info he required he 'worked his magic'. I rebuilt the kit but this time without base or head gaskit and this slightly altered my port timings and got my squish gap down to a reasonable 1.4 mil. Previous to this it struggled to pull 4th unless I thrashed the bejesus out of it in 3rd. Now it goes like feck and pulls 4th no problem , even from low down. I run the kit with an Li150 box 16/46 cogs 30 mil delly and a franspeed race pipe. I also reset and strobed the timing to 17 degrees. So far ive had 74.9 on GPS and at 17 stone I aint no feather weight. Get it set up right and its a great kit.
Cheers , Bazza.
