AF Clutch slip

Right, I almost give up.

Had the clutch out again and took the post down to 19.2mm.

Layed some emery on a sheet of glass and flattend all the posts flat and it still behaves in the same mannor. i.e. feels great at normal pace but when the pipe really kicks in or I tug the throttle I get high revs with standard accseleration.

Now, I am sure its not the front sprocket slipping because I had to hang on for dear life when the pipe kicked in with my first setup.

The corks look fine but i have orderd some new ones and will give it one last chance!

If all else fails, I may be able to use this in my TS1 as its not as punchy as my RB.

Will the AF race clutch solve this issue?

If not, which clutch will? It looks like the LTH/MMW clutch has vanished of the face of the earth (before someone suggests that one) and I don`t want a clutch that only Popeye could pull.

what gearbox are you running?....can you swap the box to obtain the same ratio with a big front sprocket if you havnt already got this set up?would help the clutch

but thats 4.16 final drive.......surely your not going to rev out with that ratio?

double check you are running this set up....as opening the throttle on something like an RB with this ratio will not be transfered to your rear wheel....well it might try too....through your CLUTCH...which will SPIN
Im running the same af clutch on my tuned ts1 and i run 16x46 with a li150 box 4.8 ratio

Don`t need to double check, I have had it out 4 times in the last 3 weeks.

My old 5 plate clutch could hold it but that had a 11 spring setup, so it was nececerry with a hydraulic lever.

The new clutch i have orderd sits in a 40hp Dac, so should be ok on my 30+ hp rb.

No problems reving out. Its ported with a 60mm crank and goes like s**t off a brick (when the clutch works, that is)

Normal riding it feels pretty dosile, so its not bad round town, when the pipe kicks in, its balistic.

As for Oil, standard Rock Oil ST90..which also worked fine on my last clutch.

I have the same problem on my af clutch.. slipping !!

RB20 .. mikuni35 .. franspeed escape ..
relationship 46 18 .. 82 link chain.

80.90 box using oil ... can this be the problem? .. heavy oil? -

eh maybe heard it's recommended to use oil .. lighter .. motul Transoil ..any opinion?
