rear brake woe`s

Its Just managed to get the lammy through the mot last night,but the bloke told me to look at it,well took hub off,no worn shoes,no oil/grease,not shiny but i can`t get it to
lock up when i jump on the peddle any suggestions please

I'm sure you have checked the adjustment. What brake shoes and cam are you running?
In my most recent GP engine someone had previously fitted series 3 brake cam and series 3 shoes because they assumed those italian style parts might be better but the rear brake was s**t and wouldn't have passed an mot no matter what i done or adjusted it too.
So i fitted the GP cam and shoes to match and its ten times better.

p.s that should read 'on my most recent GP engine' and not 'in my most recent GP engine'.....lol

200 gp case all standard except to top end

(assuming you mean indian case) I just cut a bit of copper pipe (about 1mm thick) cut to a strip ... then bent around the heel of the top shoe in the same manner as the steel already in place .... try then .... worked for me.... a test after a 1/4 mile full throttle run left a very nice skid at elvington

thanks very much ricspeed and digdug for the replies but I`ll go with ricspeeds idea 1st,got a couple of lengths of 15mm copper pipe
I can put to good use,will let you know how I get on, Oh !!! yes it was an Indian case silly me

just to avoid confusion 1mm was wall thickness of pipe ... actual strip approx. 15 -20 mm wide

Use one of Knowledges straight through cables, pull the cable through and tighten at the front so it's locked up solid then slowly slacken off the rear adjuster until it's running free.
