I'm intrigued to know why you would want to make it leaner? The lower the pilot the weaker it is. Whereas the higher the atomiser number the weaker it is - 2 is richer than - 4. Slides, I'm not sure of the numbers off hand, but generally speaking I think the bigger the cut out the richer it is. Unless I've got that back to front that is.

I think you have, bigger cutout = more air = leaner ?

Yes, you're right. It's been a long day and the brain is not working. That's why the 200's have a solid slide.

Im trying to jet a SH20 for a 175 iron barrel with a scorpion. Went with the factory settings for a series 3 175 but up jetted the main to a 110 to take into account the pipe. It will start but dies as soon as you come off the revs. Have now gone back to the 102 main but this wouldnt effect the tickover anyway. Im a bit stumped really, iv also tried it with a filter and without and this doesnt seem to make any differnce.
Any suggestions welcome

Sounds to me like a situation I had trying to run a Sito Ancillotti on a 20 mm carb. It was never a satisfactory situation and basically what was happening was that you just couldn't get enough fuel through there to get enough pressure in your exhaust. It always felt like you had to keep it going. Put a larger 22 mm carb on and it transformed it. That's my take on it and I'm convinced that was the case. So maybe you just need a larger carb?
