Thanks for the reply Darrell, plenty of info there,as you said the increase in jetting size at different throttle openings leads to poor running.I think I'm going for the plug change first followed by the simple knocking back of the Mtech box by one position at a time and hopefully the performance will still be ok.The cooling options are lited as the cowlings all pretty well fitting and fan should be spinning enough(4.95 final drive ratio).

Thanks for all your comments,Jeff

You will have to increase the setting of the Mtech, i.e. "B" to "C", "D" etc to retard a bit quicker.
Knocking it back, i.e. "B" to "A", "9" etc, will make you more advanced at any particular revs and therefore more prone to overheating and pinking.
(At least as I understand it, but I've been known to be wrong before  )

Yes that's what I mean by knocking the timing back, you are completely right any advance in ignition timing is gonna make my problem worse.

cheers Jeff

When a sparkplug seems too hot it can be an indication of the correct plug being used with too much ignition advance; possibly run it a little more retarded like me :P

C’est la vie

fitted a n2 champion plug and a little better but still there, then turned the mtech box to position c and was a lot better. If I really try, I can still get it to pink a bit but rode it for 4miles on dual carriageway this morn at 6-7000 rpm and it was fine. Feels a little happier at that rpm to tho not so eager to get there especially up hill in forth, fixed in my book I think. :D
