Kevlar material over the steel then coated with epoxy resin.
It's a process called skinning.
I saw a carbon fibre skinning kit and decided to give it a go with a kevlar effect instead.
I bought the parts separately and it cost approx. £200 to do the bits plus £120 for the black powder coating.
The frame, tank etc I bought of eBay for £300 and the panel work for £100.
The Imola engine I had in another GP (which I upgraded to an RB22).
So if you don't count the engine the scooter has been built for approx £800.
I think that's not too bad considering how much Lambrettas cost these days
