I currently have the above kit with an NK expansion pipe the noise is driving me crackers.
So I'm on the look out for a new one.
I know the mb clubman is made for it and suits it.
But I like the expansion look.
Is anyone on here running an RT with an expansion pipe that doesn't sound like an airbomb battery on guy folks night.

I love the sound of an NK to be honest, but if it's too loud,i believe Andy Francis's Franspeed super tourer has a new end can that is a few dcb quieter than most. The mb/bgm clubman is very loud going on posts on various forums and one fell to bits within a few hundred miles on the euro this year..The mb devtour pipes are nice, but still not quieter than most.Cheers,Speedy.

taffy copy pipes are awesome m8, just as good as a taffy not to loud neither, also available in stainless steel aswell. speak to dan (drunkenmonkey) or http://www.scooterotica.net/userimages/procart11.htm
Cheers fellas. I looked at the taffy tourer its a good price to.
What do you think of the fresco.
Is that a loud pipe.
I'm trying not to break the bank after my holed piston and full rebuild.

If we are talking about the same one it was made as a one off and was as much to do with the vibration from the scooter. I have not heard of any problems from the stock ones...

Aha,that wasn't mentioned as I recall. I just presumed that it was the mb/bgm clubman that they have done, not a one off for a customer. .Mind you, they are loud though, more so than a standard type clubman. A local lad has had one for his TS1 and you can hear it above our Fresco's, Taffspeeds, Franspeeds and jl'sTimbo wrote:speedy wrote:The mb/bgm clubman is very loud going on posts on various forums and one fell to bits within a few hundred miles on the euro this year..Cheers,Speedy.

As regards the Fresco, i personally love 'em. They are a tidy pipe that is compact and look lovely on series 3/GP machines, kinda small and sporty. Power wise on my TS1,it's ideal for me, enough low down and loads of mid range, which suits me perfectly. Top end wise they are good BUT, not as good as others out there. As an all rounder though I find mine very suitable. They do feature the same end can as the NK though, so not sure if it's much, if any quieter. They are a one piece downpipe, so no stub and not interchangeable[without buying a full downpipe that is].Ground clearance is good, Exhaust manifold nuts are slightly obscured due to the angle of the downpipe and flange. There is no rear fixing to the casing either, like PM's and others. The rear footboard does require trimming, but many others do to be fair. There are definitely better pipes out there, but for the money, I think they are great. Cheers, Speedy.boris wrote:Cheers fellas. I looked at the taffy tourer its a good price to.

Do you think the fresco is any quieter than the NK then. at the moment I'm leaning more towards the Taffy style tourer.
But the only thing putting me of this one is I've been told of one falling to bits after not much use. Due to it not really fitting very well. Wonder if it was an early one and this has been sorted now.

Ok the NK has gone now so is anyone useing the taffy style tourer on here.
I am interested to know how they are getting on with it.
I know its a lot to ask but does anyone know what bhp to expect from my RT 190 and said pipe and my 28mm dellorto.
And is the Taffy style performance pipe not suitable for my set up.
The the lads I travel with are running RB 20s so I need to be able to keep up.
The NK pushed the right buttons but the noise was just too much.
