Hello everyone,
What jets would you recommend for this set up:
Gp200 Sil with Mugello 225 out of the box, Jetex 24 and indian clubman? Should i keep the 45-50-122 set up of the standard carb or increase the main jet? Thanks

Nothing wrong with the Jetex mate I run a cast 225 with a Jetex no problems at all. Personally I would up the main as far as you can go

Good to know, thanks. i kitted it today, i haven't had time to ride it yet but i can tell that the quality of the kit is top. The chrome barrel by Sacchi is super and the piston is light as a feather...:) I'm expecting a big improvement in terms of performance, how does yours go? Cruising speed, bottom end, torque, top speed?

I've got a 225 muggello with a sterling expantion box, i'm up to 135 main jet still can't get the plug chocolate brown runs lean on lower mains, tried a 25mm jettex and a 25mm delorto (sh22 reamed) gone back to a standard jettex, seems to run better.
But what i did read on another site is that 2 strokes run at diffent colours on the plugs, my mate gets a lovely chocolate brown on his tho.
Pulls like a train when the expantion kicks in.

Great! I thought of a proper expansion, though the indian clubman has a standard look which i like and a nice sound..slightly louder and rougher than normal... I wouldnt rely much on the colour of the plug either, if when you're on full throttle it revvs well with no esitations i wouldnt mind about which tonality of brown the plug is ;) What plug do you run? I was thinking of an Ngk BR9ES , should be cold enough..

B8es plug (just checked it) still looks lean tho but runs ok, got a BGM freeflow filter aswell, don't notice any thing different with it tho.

i see..i got a NGK 9, a Bosh Super 8 (that corresponds to NGK 9) and a Ngk 7. No NGK 8.... With the NGK 9 (on other tuned cylinders, like Pinasco 225 for Vespa) i had the problem that i was always rich! I was told that is because the plug was too cold and when is too cold it looks like is always rich even though is not. Try a NGK BR9ES if the colour of your plug doesny look too lean anymore then the problem is not in your carburation but in the spark plug. I got a standard filter.

Ok, thanks for that advise, i think my plug cap is a resister type so i'll try a b9es non resister plug (apparently you should not use resister plugs with resister caps)and see what happens
