Hi I have a vespa T5 classic. Non battery type. I'm trying to fit a battery to it. I have obtained a battery tray, battery and battery strap. I've now got a 5 pin regulator. I'm unsure how to wire these up. I'm using the battery to power a car stereo and a power socket to charge my phone. Any help would be appreciative

The 5 pin regulator connects up exactly the same as your existing one, you then need to take a wire from the B+ terminal on the new regulator to the positive side of the battery and a wire from the negative terminal of the battery to a good earth on the frame. Put a fuse holder in either the positive or negative leads to the battery.

Thanks coaster. Then do I just take a lead from the positive side of the battery to the stereo with an in line fuse on that wire and then earth the stereo?

Yes, that will get your sterio working but I'd think about havering a hidden
Hidden switch if it needs to isolated when unattended.

If you are good with wiring you could change your ignition switch under the horn stem to an electric start one with 4 wires so your auxiliaries work off the key.
