They could be the best shock on earth but I wouldn't buy one for the above reason. I'm using a BGM and its great although a bit expensive.

Made by Protech, they've been around for years, at least 13 (see above) with Lambretta shocks ;)

The 'Protec' is nothing more and nothing less than the Taffspeed shock in it's latest and long lived format if I am not mistaken.

Perhaps people should be refusing to buy them 'on moral grounds' in memory of Terry and in support of Ian?

A fabulous shock absorber for the Lambretta IMHO, only slightly less desirable without the Taffspeed sticker and well worth the +/- £150 price tag.

Forget Hagon at £100: they were decent value until 'the' Wespa head wanted a piece of the action: now no longer competitive.

What happened to the glorious old happy days when u could buy, bush and re-spring an R1 for £80?

thanks for the reply`s. think i may go down the lighter spring on the R1 route .

I do have a Bituto in the shed, from the 80`s , missing bottom bush and by now i expect the seals would have perished, can they be refurbed and if so by whom ?
