Getting ready to apply the final coat of paint (3rd) to the scoot and am intending on using wet an dry 2000 for a very light sand before applying the final coat. Is this the best material to use to take that final slight roughness out of the paint? Once the final coat has gone on i inetend to us 3-4 coats of laquer then a very lihgt abrasive compound to take out any orange peel and give a deep shine before finishing off with good quality polish..may even treat her to some auto glym....
Also before i go any further does anyone also have any suggestions re treating the underside for rust, chippings etc..The underside and side guttering (right word?) of the leggies whilst primed and painted are painfully thin and pitted.....
any hints/advice for any of the above greatly appreciated.
