hello,

i fitted the sip road exhaust to my fathers px 200 as his old simonini had rusted and holed,

so anyway i fitted it and upjetted to 120 or 122, not sure which but its one of the two,

anyway after reading plenty of good reviews he has come back and is saying that it feels slugish and theres no nip to it and that not right,

iv cleaned the carb out, changed the spark plug, removed a lot of coke build up on piston and head and refitted it all,

come back today and says its still not right and that its sluggish,

any suggestions? he says its as if its not getting enough fuel?

so do i up jet again? and check plug colour?

If your father already had a simmonini on it might already have been jetted correctly i'd start by putting that jet back in first and see how it runs from there also check the plug as well I've been informed that the numbers on the side of main jets don't always correlate with the actual size of the hole in the centre

Try it and if the plugs white or a light tan colour its running lean in that case a 118 is probably a better bet

Did he go far at speed with the simonini ?

116 mj is standard on an autolube 200

Would have thought 120 would be okay but if its not pulling go 118 and do plug chops

Agree with Gaz, I ran 120 on my standard pre autolube 200 enigine and was sweet with sip road pipe.
Although I now run a p2 disc autolube and have upped to a 118 from 116 and this is still on a standard pipe and runs really well.
I'm thinking something up here for it to be that bad, perhaps other issues?

i put the 116 back and told him to go out for an hour or so and report back and he said it was much better, so yer gunna get a 118 and bung that in

need to take it to its top speed and see what its like too,

Also check the plug colour for 2nd and 3rd gear while at WOT as well because a lot of seizures occur in those rev ranges
