Proposing to fit a Casa 185 to an SX150, (my mate wants extra power on hills and better cruising speed)......Read a good bit about these........... supposed to be good straight out of the box. I've advised him to change the crank to a GP type, fit electronic ignition but he wants to retain the SH1/20 carb and increase main jetting to suit. Question is: do I also change from 15/46 to 16 or 17/46 or leave as is. the main worry is the engine will tend to over-rev if I leave it at 15/46. I know 4th gear is a bit high but......

Any advice would be much appreciated.

From my experience it wont over rev, If any thing thats all thats wrong (if it can be wrong) with the kit.
I wanted something out of the box, that I could fit myself, That was not going to be on the knife edge of blowing up at any moment, stay standard looking, eg though the air box, I upped the carb to a 22mm but they say the a 20 is fine, they say an SX 150 is also fine. It ticked all of the above boxes.
I am using a 125 box and am now on a 46x19, pulls like a train, tons of grunt, but I am still looking for a few more revs.
Fit it and leave the box as its is, (thats how Casa are running the demo scoot at WSM) then see how you go when its run in.
Most of all keep us informed how you get on as the info on these kits is few and far between.

Thanks for that, I feel a bit easier with the gearing now. When we've fitted it I'll post some more.
