I've had the ignition attacked on my GTS twice in the last 2 years, which is annoying, frustrating and costly to repair, so......
I need to come up with some way of making a shield to protect the ignition to protect it from screwdriver attacks

Any ideas? I've not seen anything on the market.

Is it becasuse of where you park it? I have left mine parked all over London over the past 3 years and have never had it touched. However, I'm a bit careful about where I leave it, always in bike parking bays and or in busy areas. If it's happening outside where you live I'd suggest using a cover as the added inconvenience of having to remove it will put most vandalisers off. as will a decent chain trhough the front wheel.

my scooters always have a cover padlocked on, so they just stanley them off recently. Had both scoots trashed in one night a few weeks ago, disc locks etc but they stabbed the ignition anyway and left it and took my 1966 GT to a park to smash it up and set fire to it, parked on different streets
the wee fucks have bolt cutters so I need something innovative for the GTS

I've heard you can get a gizmo that fits over the keyhole , I think mainly used for boats, anyone know about these?

Bloody hell! If they're coming tooled up with knives and bolt cutters then I don't see what you can do. Most anti theft devices will put off a casual thief but this lot seem a lot more determined.

How about a sticker that says: "Coded-key immobiliser fitted. Even if you break the lock you won't be able to ride it you little fucktard"
