Does anyone know anything about ignition systems?

Below is a chart of three vespatronic maps and my falc ignition map

Ignore the purple one as its been set up incorrectly

The blue is a standard vespatronic set up at 20 degrees BTDC
Red is a vespatronic set up at 21 degrees BTDC
Green is my Falc PVL ignition system.

My question to anyone who is knowledgable in this area is 'Why does my Falc system hold onto 24/23 degrees for so long?'

Not sure on your set up but if it is just a normal PVL then it needs a retard or programmable box I think.

I'm running a 58x56 falc with a pipe that revs to 11500. The ignition is a PVL programable system supplied by Falc, I initionallY thought that I should alter the ignition curve and get it to retard earlier. However the ignition was set up by Lauro for one of his kits and therefore who am I to say that it needs changing. I will be getting the scooter on a dyno and tweaking things so the curve could well change. I was just hoping that somebody that knows something about ignitions would come along and explain the reason why the ignition is so much more advanced than the vespatronic over the higher rev range
