I had tested fuel flow and was well within the advised rates on both main and reserve
Cam Lam have kindly responded to my email and pics I sent, lots of helpful info, some is rather annoying as its is different to what they advise on the data sheets for the kits,(which I used to build the engine) but hey ho, onwards and upwards.
no point getting stressed, done enough of that LOL
now have new squish and timing setup to do, then some ideas for jetting also
holed piston :( so angry (now with pics)

new piston is slightly different on the inside??, and I now need to juggle gaskets again, but Im staying calm
first attempt had my squish at 1.37, will aim for 1.4mm, they have told me 1.3 bare minimum.
that was with 3 base gaskets, and piston goes below exhaust port at BDC, so... after some measuring I reckon 2 base gaskets removed will help with exhaust port height, and a 1mm head gasket will get me to 1.4mm squish.
just worried about the locating step on the head, only leaves about 0.25mm to sit inside the barrel.
stay calm and add parts to the camlam shopping basket LOL

heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

Ok will aim for that but want to get the barrel down for the exhaust port alignment. one paper gasket is 0.6mm so plan is to remove one and fit 0.65 head gasket.
hopefully the change from 1.25 to 1.37 squish combined with timing going to 15 from 17, as well as some richening of jetting will be a start to making the top end a bit safer.
I wont be beaten
keep calm and carry on adding things to the camlam shopping basket

Personally i would go for 1.25mm and ask for the refund ! .. Glad to hear you're sorting it out Tony, .. All the best !!
