Yes mate, and I've heard the same from another Super Monza owner; I can live with it, though I would consider a 5 speed box, if there was one strong enough to cope ;-)

Hi Steve,

Unfortunately, I'm not doing Shipston - which is only about 50 miles from me - I'm doing Vale of White Horse in Wiltshire. Shame, as it would've been good to meet up and have a chat :-)

I've considered trying 15 x 48 (81 link chain) with same GT gearbox in mine, which gives 4.65 fourth gear ratio.

You might loose some top speed - in perfect conditions - but should be easier at low speeds, and on the pipe - 5.5k rpm - at 60.

In any event, let us know what you decide to do?

Cheers :-D
Looking at the gearing calculator, this would be my recommendation too, although you may find going through 1st and 2nd a little quick. Although the Cyclone sounds good on paper and would be better in the top three gears, 1st & 2nd would be even worse than the above, the ratios aren't good for these motors.
