Hello

I would like to replace a Lamby kick-start oil seal without the inner lip becoming inverted. I have rarely, if ever, achieved this and messed up two seals t'other day trying to do it.
I wish to replace the seal with the side casing in situ. Scooter Restorations do a tool to aid fitting but I believe this protects the seal from the splines of the kick-start shaft, rather than preventing any unsightly protuding inner lips

Any top tips or advice will be most welcome. Cheers

Wrap electricians tape around the splines and smear a bit of grease on to help ease the seal on. You should be able to push it on evenly with your thumbs, if you still have them

Thank you. I shall lube up and use my thumbs on the lips, and not just me fingers on the outer parts.....

cheers
