Hi Folks
I've got a Snetterton on my GP cutdown which I thought I might fit to my full body Li as the GP is in bits for a rebuild.
Silly question but do I need to remove to the petrol flap? It doesn't seem to open with the seat in place.
Best regards
Ben

I've had to dremmel the metal a bit by the air scoop a bit before now as it was overlapping the petrol flap. Snets, generally, are not hi-tech seats, so they may take a bit of work. That said, both the ones I've run in the past have been with an opening and closing petrol flap.
Are you the Belgian lad with the cutdown, GP headset, white Vega leggies?

Thanks for the advice, I thought it looked a bit too simple to just bolt it on.storkfoot wrote:I've had to dremmel the metal a bit by the air scoop a bit before now as it was overlapping the petrol flap. Yes that sounds like me although I'm originally from Porthcawl in South Wales. Been out here in Belgium for ten years now, you know how it goes, travel out for one job and 18 months later you have a family and it doesn't seem worth going home.

The GP is in boxes being stripped while I try to find a decent paint sprayer over here. I might just invest in a gun and compressor and do it myself.
I'll be in Lincoln in June if you'd like to meet up. Maybe I should get a t-shirt with my name on like Keith Moon

Brussels, or Porthcawl, must be a tight call that one, mate  I was on the verge of finalising plans for a cutdown/racer project of mine when I saw this pic several months back. I changed my plans as I just think the GP headset goes so well with the Vega leggies.TheSeeker wrote:

I'll happily pinch all your best ideas at Lincoln
