Was just about to get one of these from AF along with one of there new pistons but have been told by Twinny there was a thread on here saying people were having to slot the head on the flywheel side to get the air across the head. Any info on this or link to the thread as i cant seem to find it.

Buggered if i want to speng £160 on a part then have to get the grinder out........Hold on thats par for the course....

Here you go Syd http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25320 it was my thread and it was suggested when I put some pictures of the head in place up. I'm not sure it will make too much difference tbh but it took less than 3 minutes to do with the angle grinder. I can send you some pics it you need them but it is very straight forward.

I agree with what you are saying BUT, the heads were not made for standard size cylinders. As always work done by Darrell Taylor, AF have found a benefit using them on other kits, as is or by modifying them, even Sticky is flying around the countryside using one on a Rapido which he conveniently forgot to return to me ;) apparently it's called progress or D.I.Y.

Would be handy if you could. 5 mins doesnt sound to bad. I was looking at getting a new piston from AF at the same time. Will need to call them to findout if they can match them.

I'll stick some up tomorrow, when I said three minutes it was just a fugure of speach, those heads are REALLTY thick and 30 minutes would be more accurate ;)

If you're in the market for a piston I'd talk to Ron about his Matica TS1 pistons, bargain 8-)
