I think there is some science as to where it should be welded but this worked for me and it works a treat. I will never look back wish I had done conversion years ago.

After going to Hastings scooter skirmish my cylinder head cowling had a piece missing and couple of big cracks in it, so out with the dremel and going to give this a try

some very nice bits on this scooter,tacho looks like i would imagine it to look if the italians still made lambretta's,not sure about the seat though,your gona tell me its real comfy!
