The lighter one is fine on my Rapido, you only need 2.7 if you want a slow tick-over on a stock motor.Blue Max wrote:Thanks, i have seen this on the Rimini site, and will order it from them. I see that you can have a 2.7kg or lighter 2.0kg flywheel.Speed Demon wrote:No, but Rimini Lambretta offer the Parmakit flywheel as a spare and have a 2/3-day post service from Italy.
I know that the varitronic is approx. 1.8kg, so the 2kg option is nearest to this and will give the crank a easier time? less rotating mass? any thoughts on this?

Just a quick update on this.
The casa parmakit flywheel arrived from Rimini Lambretta last weekend, today i have had chance to fit it, and the engine started third kick!!!!! not bad on 4 year old fuel.
Still have to check/reset timing, check jetting, fresh fuel etc.etc. and and then mot.
Thanks to those who have helped with info, and i hope this is useful to others with varitronic ignitions.
