hi all, can anybody help ,ive had/got problems with the new targaline front dampers fitted in conjunction with a scootrs disc conversion ? . on compression under braking or stationary the caliper body knocks against the damper body . forks have been refurbished and not done even 1200 miles. im not sure if the forks had damper top brackets welded on gp125 forks ?? any help/advise much appreciated

i have the same dampers fitted mate have the same problem with mine i did not run the scooter but noticed under brakeing the caliper will hit the damper reservoir, spoke to the shop i got them from he sent me a sterling caliper bracket this lowers the the caliper when set up from (10pm to about 8pm if you look on a clock face)also put new strong springs in the forks still not happy that under brakeing the caliper would hit the damper, did the C2C with them but turned them upside down they looked a c##t,i have mounted mine now with the top eye of the damper outside of the top damper bracket and turned them around and used a spacer on the gap between the damper brackets this has worked and they are secure hope this helps cheers rob

Simple, get the ScootRS Antidive upgrade http://scootrs.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=2018 , well worth it anyway IMHO and problem solved. You would just have too check that you had room to mount the fork bracket. No problem if you use the weld on bracket but might be a bit tight with the bolt on type (you get both types in the kit).

Here's mine with a slightly modified link (rose joints)

heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!
